The Rally of Poland was first run in 1921. It is one of the oldest car rallies in the world, preceded by the Monte Carlo Rally. In 1973, the Rally of Poland was the one of the thirteen rounds of newly established FIA World Rally Championship, however it was removed the following year . In recent years it has formed part of the European Rally Championship  and the World Rally Championship.Â
