Rally Finland, is one of the most well known rallies in the world. Formerly known as the Neste Rally Finland, Neste Oil Rally Finland, 1000 Lakes Rally and Rally of the Thousand Lakes. It is held around the Finnish Lakeland in Central Finland, with Jyväskylä being the host city . The rally is driven on wide and smooth gravel roads, featuring huge blind crests and big jumps. The rallies specialised surface and flow has historically been very difficult for non nordic drivers with only seven drivers from countries other than Finland or Sweden have won the event

It is the fastest event in the World Rally Championship and is often known as the “Grand Prix of Rallying”. Rally Finland is among the largest annually organised public events in the Nordic countries, attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators each year.

Along with Fafe stage in Portugal, Finlands Ouninpohja stage attracts perhaps one of the largest crowds in the WRC. Ouninpohja features a huge jump around the mid way mark.
